I’m writing this blog to warn individuals who use craigslist looking for pets, particularly well-liked dogs such as yorkies, chihuahuas, pugs, pitbulls, golden retrievers and labradors. For the past 20 years, Petfinder has helped 25 million pets find their families through adoption. I believe the massive question for me can be whether or not the state will let me maintain them with a USDA license if you’re open about holding them as pets. Pets of the Homeless is the only national animal group focused fully on feeding and offering emergency veterinary care to pets of the homeless. All the 501(c)(three) teams I work with have very similar adoption procedures and requirements. If you’re farming animals for meals the state is more accommodating, they simply hate pets. Call your local emergency administration office, animal shelter or animal control office to get recommendation and information.
